Elevator

Careful measurement for the elevator horn bolt holes was laid out. The horns were not aligned with each other so we set both elevators to the neutral postion and clamped them in place.

Nice hole for the bolt through the horns. You have to place the hole forward and down as much as possible so the control rod end will clear the horns in it’s range of motion.

Hard to tell in this shot but the horns were not in perfect alignment with each other when the elevators were set to neutral.

Rear control rod ready to drill and assemble. we used masking tape to layout equally spaced marks for the rivet line..... fast and cheap.

Rick careful to drill a straight hole through both horns.......look at the concentration.....

Lastly the elevator horns are connected to the rear control rod after the intermediate rod length is set.
