Pilot’s seat back was constructed per the plans. We decided to flip the hinge mounting at the bottom of the seat to provide an extra inch of leg room. Nothing real fancy to it’s construction, just lots of holes and rivets. We beveled the edges of the corrugated material to minimize leg damage to the back seater.

October 2004

Well we put the tig welder to use and welded together our seat back. We ended up with the recommended 30 degree angle cut on all pieces to provide a smooth transition. With the welds ground, she’s ready for the powder coater.
