Pitch Servo

As part of the autopilot install the bell crank brackets needed to be replaced. Since our F1 already had this bracket installed at the factory we had to match the rivet pattern already drilled into the airframe. We accomplished this by making a pattern from the old angle. In the pictures below you can see the old angle, which is silver in color being used to produce a template so that the drill pattern can be copied to the new part which is gold in color.

After the assembly is installed in the fuse we bolted up the bell crank and servo. When the final install is complete we will properly torque the bolts and add torque putty. We found several issues with the installation instructions that were included with our trutrack pitch servo. The servo limiter was eliminated since the F1 kit has elevator stops that will prevent the servo from going over center. I also drilled the bolt threads out of the servo boss and put a bolt all the way throught the assembly with a nyloc washer.
